"My Sister's Keeper": I am Judge DeSalvo
As Judge DeSalvo, I would rule that Anna be allowed medical emancipation. It is her body that is going through the surgeries and donations, and I believe that despite the fact that she is young, she should get her say in what happens. And even though Anna was created for donation to Kate and donation only, she is still a human being, despite what her mother seems to think. In regards to Sara, as a mother she super guilty of playing favorites. As I see it, in Sara's eyes, Jesse is nonexistent, Anna only exists in regards to Kate, and only as a donor, and Kate is everything and all. She is an extremely selfish and close-minded mother. As a lawyer, she is no different. In regards to Campbell, he is set on helping Anna win her emancipation, but he also never got to know Kate or her opinion. Neither Sara nor Campbell ever spoke to Kate or asked her how she felt about Anna's lawsuit, just like her parents never asked Anna how she felt about having her body used in such a way. Really, Kate was at the center of this ordeal the entire time.

Morality of Designer Babies
Designer, or test tube, babies, in my opinion, are simply tools created by their parents to save, the obviously greater cherished, older sibling. No matter if the parents wanted another child or not, the baby was created for science and the advancement of science. Science is advanced enough already. We humans continue to screw up the natural order of things, and the more we do it, the quicker our world dies. Disasters and diseases exist for a reason, and should not be tampered with. Think of how these children feel! They must feel unwanted and manipulated, less loved than their older sibling. Designer babies should not be utilized any longer.

To One Who Denies the Holocaust.
You're an idiot. Possibly a fascist freak, but that's beside the point at the moment. How can you (or anyone for that matter) deny and distort the persecution, torture, and eventual death of 11 million people? It doesn't matter what kind of people they are, they died heinously and without respect for one only reason: some pompous, German pig with bad facial hair felt like he was special. That's it. And he wasn't. Granted, Hitler was a convincing speaker and master manipulator, but he was still the human equivalent of dirt who wanted to eradicate a race of innocent, unknowing people. So, if I may ask, why, exactly, would you try to convince others that this never happened or wasn't as bad as it was? Genocide is genocide. Those people who died without fair cause should be honored and remembered, and so too should the horrendous acts of the Nazis, so as to never forget and keep history from repeating itself.

The Holocaust: Questions
Even though I understand how bad of shape Germany was in at the time, and how desperate and easily led these people were, it is confusing how no one stepped in to put a stop to the actions taking place. In fact, England and France actually helped Hitler through appeasement. Mostly I understand what was happening, why no one left, why no one helped, and why the Germans were so easily misled. Evil was under foot, an infectious evil that soils and devolves the minds of impressionable humans into those of bloodthirsty, judgmental beasts. Human nature is mostly a horrible thing. It reveals our true intentions underneath and is easily led around by the nose by corrupted ideals, allowing atrocities such as the Holocaust to take place.

Another Side to my Mother
Not that long ago, my mom came home from work crying. Her boss was being a huge, unnecessary B just because she can. She chewed out my mom because she is a nice, helpful, friendly woman, and evidently that is seen as something negative in her workplace. I really felt bad. I saw in my mom what i see in myself, sentimental, sensitive, and trying really hard but just getting put down for it. I can see how similar we really are now.

On "To Kill a Mockingbird"
I wouldn't change anything about the story except me reading it. I don't want to read and have still learned NOTHING. i probably would not be friends with these kids because i have no friends and I'm not a good friend maker. Since I wouldn't be their pal, I'm obviously not going to have any experiences with them. On, 'transferring' the story to my neighborhood, that wouldn't happen because I live on a busy road and they would probably get hit by a passing semi or various speed demon and would get glass in their feet from wearing no shoes.

Instructions for Living
To live your life to the best of your abilities, you have to open your heart to others. This helps you to be free and open and happy. Holding grudges and holding your feelings inside is not good. You'll always be unhappy and have no friends. I'm obviously talking from experience, here. Being a good person and opening your heart is the first step towards happiness.
